Moving a boiler is not simply a matter of extending two pipes. The new position can affect the flue, gas supply, heating and hot-water pipework, condensate drainage, electrical controls, ventilation, access for servicing and the surfaces that must be opened and repaired.
Show the current and proposed positions
Send wide photographs of both locations and the route between them. Include the boiler make and model, nearby exterior walls, windows, doors, cupboards, drains and the consumer controls. Leave all boiler covers in place.
List connected changes
Explain whether kitchen cabinets, worktops, bathrooms or utility rooms are also changing. State who will remove and rebuild cupboards, box in pipes, alter electrics, make good walls and decorate. Confirm competence for the exact work
Gas work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer whose current work categories cover the appliance and work. Other system or cylinder work can require additional relevant competence.
